Library Services

With holdings of 50,000 books, the Clarendon Hills Public Library strives to provide patrons with a balanced and up-to-date collection of both popular fiction and quality non-fiction titles. In addition the library subscribes to over 140 periodicals including newspapers, financial and investment publications, and many popular and educational magazines.

Other collections for loan include: books on audio tape and CD, music CDs, large print books and DVDs for children and adults.

The library now has two Kindle e-book readers available for check out by Clarendon Hills cardholders. These electronic reading devices are pre-loaded with a selection of fiction and non-fiction best-sellers plus a number of classic titles. The full list of book titles available on our Kindles may be found on the Kindle e-book Reader page. The Kindles were purchased through a generous gift from the Fredelle E. Goldstein Trust.

Patrons and community residents may also use the library for internet access, to hold a meeting, to showcase their organization, to register to vote or just use the copy machine. Links to more information on these additional library services may be found in the menu above.
