As Governor Pritzker announced on March 20 that he has signed a statewide stay at home "shelter in place" order through April 7 aimed at keeping new cases of COVID-19 from rapidly increasing, the library has had to adjust a few of its closing services.

Since staff will no longer be in the building daily, the book drop will be closed starting March 20 in the evening. We ask that you hold onto all library items until the library re-opens. All material due dates have already been changed to May 1 and all items will be checked in fine free when we open again. The library phone will not be answered, so please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you need to get in touch with library staff.

The library's new tentative opening date is Wednesday, April 8. But please know that as this situation is fluid, we could likely be closed for a longer period of time. Please keep checking the library's website to stay informed.

Libraries may not be essential during a pandemic, but they are essential during the aftermath. We look forward to being open to the community again soon! Take care of yourselves!
